James Cook, RICP®

James Cook joined Summit Pointe in August 2018 as a Financial Advisor. James is a big Dave Ramsey fan and completed Dave Ramsey’s Financial Coach Master Training back in March of 2018. He is also a Dave Ramsey SmartVestor Pro*.

James’ accomplishments include his time as a volunteer youth group leader, which was for the same group of boys from their 7th grade year through their 12th, his 8 years of management experience in a growing company, but his greatest accomplishment was getting a California girl to move to Kansas to marry him. He and his wife, Hiliary, have been married for 5 years and attend Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church. They are active members and enjoy volunteering in the nursery. They have one pup named Charlie.

James is a native of Lawrence. As such, one of James’ favorite pastimes include watching KU basketball and football. He also enjoys an active lifestyle which includes playing most sports. Some of his other interests include spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading in a coffee shop, and writing.
