About Us

With over 15 years of legal experience, Jason Moehlman’s work focuses on taxation, estate planning, business planning, and real estate. He is an asset to the Summit Pointe Financial team as part of its advanced planning services for clients.

In Mr. Moehlman’s taxation practice, he prepares income tax returns for corporations, estates, trusts, individuals, partnerships, and tax-exempt organizations. He also represents clients in tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service, the United States Tax Court, and State Departments of Revenue.

Jason has started numerous limited liability companies, corporations, and nonprofit organizations on behalf of his clients. He has also handled reorganizations, amendments of Operating Agreements, licensing, regulatory matters and other issues on behalf of the businesses he has represented. Mr. Moehlman has also represented businesses in state and federal court.

In his estate planning practice, Jason has drafted wills, inter vivos trusts (living trusts), durable powers of attorney, living wills, and irrevocable life insurance trusts for his clients. In addition to creating estate plans for traditional couples, Jason works on estate plans for same-sex couples and the particular legal issues that affect them. Jason has also represented personal representatives and trustees in the administration of probate estates and trusts of all sizes.

Mr. Moehlman has worked on a wide range of matters for clients regarding various real estate matters. He has negotiated several real estate transactions which involved commercial properties worth millions of dollars. He has also handled commercial landlord and tenant disputes, drafted leases, mortgages, and promissory notes.
