Kevin E. Kemmerer, Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) and designated Retired Income Certified Professional® (RICP®), was born and raised in Lexington, Missouri. Kevin graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a minor in coaching and driver education. After three years as a high school teacher, coach, and athletic director, he entered the financial services industry in 1981.
In addition to maintaining his own practice as a financial advisor, Kevin has been involved in the recruiting, training, and development of new advisors for over 35 years. He has an extensive background working with insurance products, investments, education funding and retirement planning and has worked for several financial services companies during his career, including AXA/Equitable, John Hancock, New York Life, and Mass Mutual.
Kevin joined Summit Pointe Financial Group as an associate general agent in June of 2010, and he is currently our director of operations.
Through the years, Kevin has earned numerous company and industry awards for both personal production and management. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, (NAIFA), General Agency Management Association, (GAMA), and holds six Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, (FINRA) securities registrations.
Kevin is an avid sports fan and supporter of the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, Missouri Tigers, and especially his alma mater, Northwest Missouri State Bearcats. He and his wife, Susan, reside in Overland Park, Kansas, and have four grown daughters, Laura, Beth, Katie, and Keri, as well as four grandchildren, Alex, Morgan, Ava, and Addie. He is a member of the Northwest Missouri State University Alumni Association, the Delta Nu chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon Alumni Association, the Northwest Networks Business Networking organization, and the Unity Church of Overland Park.
